Exchange 2003

By john.coppin ·
I had some issues when I first installed Exchange 2003 as it was installed on a DC when I had intended to install on a seperate server as a mail server only.
I have moved over the mailboxes etc, and want to delete exchange from the DC and have exchange on the second server only.
I am getting an error about mailboxes stil not moved or deleted that is preventing me from deleting Exchange 2003 on the DC.
As far as I have checked I have removed all the boxes. Any idea how to proceed from here?
The client intends to host exchange on the second server.

Another Error Message

by john.coppin In reply to Exchange 2003

Setup encountered an error while checking prerequisites for the component "Microsoft Exchange Messaging and Collaboration Services": 0X80072030 (8240): There is no such object on the server.

Any idea how to uninstall Exchange 2003 from the Server. What has happened is the exchange on the DC was removed also the other exchange server. However, the other server is showing up in System Manager and I get the error above when I try to remove it.
Exchange has been reinstalled after formatting on the same server.

This information may a little late for you, but I think you may find it useful anyhow.
I will be moving exchange to another server in the near future as well. I did find these links
