He is wanting his customers to have the ability to watch how he changes photos as he is working on them

      surround CS3 aye?

It begins with the video card.
The cheapest method is to buy a PCIe or AGP (whichever the computers MB will take) vid card that supports dual monitors, then install a regular PCI card to run the third monitor. This will enable your user to mirror the 2 monitors on the PCIe, while having his dedicated desktop space on the third.

There is the alternative of finding a card that supports over 2 monitors on its own, but thats much more $$$$

        IP based Extended Desktop

Ok, so if just buying a PCI card is the answer, what about a laptop situation?

        For example: MINE, :p

I have a laptop in a docking station and I have it with an LCD on the left extended desktop on it, Laptop as primary, and I want to add a 3rd monitor for more desktop space, I know that I can’t physically plug it up, so I have a second actual PC with a monitor on it, and it is on the network, I want to install a host and client software on each of the computers and run a desktop sharing type connection using IP based network connectivity, I have done it before with a trial version, but can’t seem to locate the name and file, so need some help, obviously I want it free, but if it is a demo, then I am not against, purchasing it for the work that I need to do.

        Any ideas?

      multi-monitors…

You can buy a adaptor (like this one: http://www.piengineering.com/ymouse/whym06.php but cheaper) which plugs into the VGA port, and gives you 2 VGA ports. You can then plug two monitors into this, and set windows to have a *much* wider resolution (you will need a g/card which can support a high res). Basically this tricks windows into seeing one very wide-screen monitor, you can (theoretically) have multiple adaptors, but you’ll probably need more than one g/card to handle it.
