hello there, i previously had windows xp and upgraded to windows mce however my firewire card now does not work along with media player notplaying dvd's due to copyright restrictions.

What's going on???

I bought MCE specifically cause it was easier for that kinda thing and now it won't work at all.

Can someone please help me find a driver for my firewire card as i've looked everywhere and i can't find one.

I'm going nuts!!!!

what is windoze MCE?

by Dr Dij In reply to firewire

I hope is not windoze ME as this is no longer sold. You must mean some version of Vista? Media center? ALOT of stuff is NOT compatible with Vista; you'll need to goto mfgr website and get drivers, good luck!

MCE= Media Center Edition

Think of it as XP home with a bunch of Media drivers and software installed.

Media Centre Edition was an upgrade from XP.

It would help if we knew if the firewire is built-in or came with your system.
Make/Model of your system and firewire etc.
