Floppy disk access and Disk Defragmenter

By iith096 ·
I have been having a problem with Disk Defragmenter
accessing the A: drive whenever I defragment the C: drive. Disk
Defrag checks the floppy disk drive then goes through
defragmenting the C: drive with no problems. This started to
happen two weeks ago. (I defrag the C: drive every two weeks
and it did not do this two weeks ago). I always disable Norton
antivirus and Task Scheduler so they cannot be interfering with
Disk Defrag. I cleared out all shortcuts in C:\windows\recent and
also checked all shortcuts for pointers to the A: drive and did not
find any. No new software has been installed onto the pc either.
Not sure what is going on here. Thanks in advance for your help.

Carlos.

Are you using windows native defrager if so make shure you do not have it set to look at the A drive, But what i realy suggest if you are using the windows defrager is to use a diferent defrager like Perfictdisk 2000 it by far the best i have found and it works across all platforms you can download a 30 day demo at HTTP://www.raxco.com/
