Geeks/Nerds already rule the earth

By Shirokit ·
Hehe just as the title says. Geeks/Nerds really do rule the earth if you think about it.

What would happen if all geeks/nerds goes on strike at the same time or just disappears out of the picture?

I think it would be a global communication and economic meltdown.

How long will the net/telecomunications/wireless/satelites/travel/power/water/banks sustain itself in that event?

What would happen to the stock markets?

The truth is almost every company/country relies on computers in order to function and without the help of geeks/nerds their computers will slowly but surely start to malfunction due to lack of computer knowledge of the regular user.

If you think about it almost everything in our daily lives relies on geeks/nerds doing what we do.

Stereotype

by The 'G-Man.' In reply to Geeks/Nerds already rule ...

not all IT people are geeks or nerds
not all finance people are geeks or nerds

How long will the net/telecomunications/wireless/satelites/travel/power/water/banks sustain itself in that event?

They would do just fine as not all people working in these areas are geeks or nerds.

What would happen to the stock markets?

Despite not all being geeks or nerds they have done a fine job of messing these up anyway so who cares.

Now...if they took all the Research / Development / Scientific people away things would remain as is, no development but as is, once again who cares!

The 'G-Man' I totaly agree that their not geeks thats why I didnt say their geeks. Rather ask yourself who maintains their computers?

You possibly upset the "status quo"..

You posted a "haha" post..but because you're relativley new to posting, we just not sure of how you meant it.

Its one thing to post and ask what peoples opinion is, its another to post your idea as "fact" and when people don't get the joke, you can't go tell them to get personalities.

Their geeks?

by kgilley In reply to O.o

Shirokit, I think that is a high honor to be called a geek/nerd. As a geek I am constantly striving to improve my intellectual skill set. Though some may think I am weird for not indulging is substances that would kill brain cells or run the risk of inflicting a concussion with bone-jarring jock activities, I am quite comfortable being the only one that they turn to in times of distress. Those who try to use the terms in a derogatory way simply show how small their minds are. In a crisis who do they consult? Geek or Jock?

I do, however, object to the use of the personal pronoun their (which is a term of ownership) instead of the contraction they're (they are). I am my own geek and not one of theirs.

True not everyone that maintains computers is geeks / Nerd. I dont look the part but actualy am one. No one can argue that geeks does not play a vital role in the world. <<< thats the point I was trying to make with this btw.
