Schools are not excluded in Texas

In reply to Good grief!
Texas already passed a bill to allow guns on college campus.

They do it differently in Texas. That’s for sure.-

I lived in a place where the first day of Goose season, deer season, and turkey season were all approved skip days. About mid-morning, all of the kids that had been out hunting came dragging in straight from the woods or fields, guns in hand. Half the time, they brought them in and put them in their lockers.
Now, holy moly, would that cause a ruckus! It was a different time back then.

many of the old western cow towns required that visitors leave their guns with the town sheriff. Of course this was usually due to the alcohol-fueled entertainment available. It could have been connected to the noise ordinance.

Also, perhaps the culture wasn’t really gun-safe at the time…

I mean, we’ve all seen what people were like back then… on TV 😉

What’s it do to tourism?

SinisterSlay, if you feel your going to be attacked by a gun owner, don’t go there.
Tourism is one of Texas’ biggest industries. I doubt it will be affected in the least be the presence of weapons. -

Do you reason from a base, or do you go after internal contradiction?

The right to carry is not given by the government.
by bookman25 · about 12 years, 6 months ago
In reply to Good grief!
You are born with the right to carry just as you are born with your other inalienable rights. The gov’t can only deny you your rights. If some crazy starts shooting people inside your workplace, say on the 22nd floor, your gun won’t be much good out in your car. If the bad guys have to fear your gun they won’t be quite so bold.
