Google 2-step verification choice missing

I have four ways to enable the second step with 2-step verification. Two phone numbers, a yahoo email, and Google 8-digit backup codes. When logging into my Google account, after entering my email and password, I automatically get a verification code on my primary phone. Then, to sign in to my Google account, the screen to enter my received code is displayed. Rather than entering the code recieved by text message on my phone, I can select "Try another way". Four items are then listed: 1. Get a verification code at (...)my primary phone number. 2. Get a verification code at (...)my friend's phone number. 3. Enter one of your 8-digit backup codes. or 4. Get help, which only suggests either to try again, use a PC, a repeat of choices 1,2, and 3, or go to account recovery. Missing is my choice of verifying my login from a code sent to my yahoo email. When managing my Google account online, I still have my yahoo email listed as a second step in 2-step verification. Why can I no longer choose my missing yahoo email for second step verification, since the option to do so is no longer offered? I can remember years ago when I hadn't yet added my friend's phone for 2-step verification. I only had my phone and the yahoo email for that. Back then the option was always available to obtain a verification code from my yahoo email. Does Google list only two of your sources for 2-step verification if you have three or more such sources in your Google account?

choice missing

If you are facing that problem first you have to check that your number is updated in your google. maybe the reason is that your number is missing or by mistake, you remove the number. you can also use another option of the alternative id of yours as 2 step verification.
