Google lock down

By mcowart ·
With 2000 server, is there any way to set a policy that would prevent users from changing the "safe-search" mode in Google preferences? We want safe search to be the only option that they have for Google images.

This is quite a curly one to control because Google sets a cookie where the preferences are stored. The safe-search option may be there.

You could experiment with two different settings, inspect the contents of the cookie, copy the right version to your server and push it to the user profiles at logon. Google may not like the method, though.

This has been a lingering problem. I still haven't found a solution to date. I had a fellow IT comrade call this morning with the exact same issue. How do you block the preference options to users? The group policy settings for the cookies isn't the answer.
