By scriru ·
I have a Russian language site: http://www.scriru.com with articles on different categories.

I want to implement a simple php search engine for my website on pages like thji son the top left corner:
http://www.scriru.com/14/index5.php

I've read about an oprion to intergrate Google Sote Search.
Is this a googd optionas.
Can be implemented on chirilic - russian alphabet?

Note: I keep all texts (title, body articles) on a mysql database.

I need some code suggestions, to make this script run fast.

Thanks all,

Easy

If you're happy with the visitor landing on a google page (top level or inside a frame), then you just need to sign up and add a normal html form on your site. (And pay the bill, of course.)

If you want to include the search results within your own page, then you should use the xml interface.

Since Google all over their sites use UTF-8, you're probably best off using the same encoding yourself, then any examples should (hopefully) work well.

I'm not using this myself, so I can only give outside observations.

But, wait a moment.
Before deciding to go for Google, if you understand Russian, have a look at Russia's most popular search engine. They also offer this type of functionality:

http://xml.yandex.ru/
--May turn out to be better, cheaper or both.

Good luck / Удачи!
