HDD Detection Problem

By mahbub_pervez ·
Can you tell me what happened?
In the night I have installed some software.
In the morning I found HDD can't detect by the BIOS.

its a Maxtor 40GB; 5400 RMP

I tried removing it to another pc as a slave(setting jumper as slave); It can't detected by that pc either..

Have you formatted the drive and set partitions
Set the drive jumper and the make sure that you have the cable connectors set properly

Thanx for the reply.

See, at night it worked and in the morning it not.

I put the HDD in a separate PC and the result is same.

Yes, there are 4 partitions in it.
