HELP - computer shuts down every time i put blank dvd/cd in it!

hey if anyone could help id really appreciate it
this is happening on both my computers, with more than one brand of dvd/cd so i dont know whats the problem!
im using a pc, and every time i put in a blank cd/dvd the computer restarts - and then says its had a serious driver error. but i dont know how to fix it
please help

Yep. Once you mentioned Studio Mediasuite, I felt pretty sure that that was the cause.

But I would contact their support team before reinstalling the program and doing any updates. Here is a link to their support web page:

A friend told me that version 11 works fine on his XP Pro system. He also had to remove version 9. I opted to replace it with Ulead VideoStudio instead. Good Luck.

i tried to contact the support crew..... they wont take complaints about studio 9 anymore [probably had too many problems with it] gr!

Ok from your posts you have tried and tested but the drive is still failing of which you have two choices, (1) download update drivers for you cd/dvd drive or (2) get another cd/dvd drive and test it in your computer, DOWN BELOW is s few pointers as to why you are having problems.
I hope this works for you, please post back if you have more problems.

How to Troubleshoot a "STOP 0x0000001E KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED" Error Message
1. Try to replace the driver that is identified in the STOP error message, either with a known good copy from your installation media, or with an updated version from the manufacturer.

Thank you CaptBillyEye. I was just putting more information about the problem so that if anyone else has a the same problem they would have the info at hand, but thank you anyway.
