Help with driver for wifi adapter on Mac’s Big Sur OS

Hi everyone,

My father has a Mac which has a broken wifi component and as a result he needs to use an adapter to connect to wifi. This has all been fine until he updated his OS and now the driver for that adapter is not compatible. I see many people online having this issue and tp-link don’t seem like they’ll be fixing it any time soon. https://nox.tips/

I’m wondering if anyone here knows of an alternative driver that will solve this problem?

If the maker of the card doesn’t have a driver that is compatible with your OS, then your choices are:

1. use another OS (one that is compatible with the card)
2. use a third party WiFi-adapter (one that has a driver that is compatible with your OS)
3. have the Mac fixed by an authorised Apple dealer (assuming your unknown Mac is compatible with Big Sur OS they should be able to replace the broken component by an original one from Apple)

The price of USB WiFi adapters have fallen and once in a while you’ll find a few year old stick with no support. My fix is to replace the stick. And yes you will get the occasional client that can’t believe that’s the answer.

Please folk. Always add the details such as which adapter.
