Help with 'Windows traditional' search options

By godzillex ·
Hi,

I am using Win XP (SP3), and have reseted its Search command to the old (non-animated dog) setting.

The problem is when the Search routine is run, the "Advanced Options" do not retain their previous settings. So I have to click on them every time I run the search. There are 3 options that I want enabled all the time:

1. Search system folders
2. Search Hidden files and folders
3. Search Subfolders

Is there a way to click on these settings once and never have to do it again?

Thanks in advance.

Go here and scroll down to tip #151.

Then look in the right hand column and click on the link for "Set 'Search' Advanced Options as Default." Then follow the steps.
