How do I remove a shared resource, i.e.

By H Lucas ·
I currently have a Win NT 4.0 server set up to act as my network's printer server. While installing two of my shared printers I named them incorrectly. I deleted these two printers from my Printers directory, but I am unable to remove them from my Server Manager's list of shared resources. These two printers continue to be shown as available when my clients (running Win 95) go to install printers on their local machines. This causes confusion for my users and headaches for me. I have searched the reg istry on the server for the printers' names, hoping to be able to delete them at some root level, but have been unable to find any references to them. I have tried to recreate the resources and the shares, so that I can delate the share first, but I am unable to re-use the shares' names. I am using both HP JetAdmin and Axis's NetPilot, but these two printers do not show up within these pro grams. Does anyone know how I can delete these shared resources?

i dont think i understand what the real problem is, but to make a shared printer on nt, you do it in the control panel, printers just like any other printer. to remove it the share, go to the properties of the printer remove the share. remove the printer. if you want it out of the browser, reboot the server and wait a few hours before putting it back.
