How to install Sony PCG-TR3A divice drivers

Locked

by futcon ·

I have a sony pcg-tr3a and am trying to reload the divice drivers after installing a new HD. I do not have a sony driver reload recovery Cd. I have downloaded and installed the drivers from the sony site. Device mgr is marking the ‘Multimedia Audio Controller’ as not configured properly code 1. I was told there is an order in which to reload/install the drivers. Not following this order can land you in a padded room. Can some one please list the order. Thanks

The Order that I would install Drivers is Sound, Video, Modem if any, all before connecting to the Windows Update Servers and then any of the remainder that are left like Web Cams and the like.

I have already down loaded and installed the drivers from the sony site. I am using xp-sp3.
Should I reformat and reinstall. The only thing that is not working is sound(Multimedia Audio Controller).

Audio is a problem with everything but Creative Sound Drivers

I would reformat and then this is very important install the Sound Drivers before you do anything else especially connect to the Windows Update Servers.

Personally I’ve got around the Sequence Issue by making my own Slipstreamed Install Disc’s with nLite. I started using it ages ago and simply have not had any issues as I slipstream any Service Packs and Drivers to the Install Disc and everything simply gets installed when I install Windows. 😉
