How to remove games from user access

By techless ·
I am being asked to not allow users in one department to have access to games (XP workstations in an AD network environment). What is the easiest way to do that?

Personally, I would remove the games from add/remove programs and restrict access to any games in other places. Also, unless they are needed CG IT has a good idea with group policies, they can be setup to "grey out" or even to not allow a user to "install" anything on the system. However, this leads to IT needing to come out and install everything, constantly. If you know the programs that need to be avoided, you can set up software policy that "these users cannot install these applications". I would set these as local machine policies unless they are technical enough to remove the policy.
