I suggest you reach out to the author/application developer to ask your questions. Personally, I never heard of the app, nor do I know what it does. I suspect most forum members do not know either.

Indeed, there is a free version for MacOS.

which came with your MacBook can be used to do all your editing.
I’m a little surprised that you state that you do not know how Capcut works, given that it is your favorite app

CapCut was primarily available as a mobile app for both Android and iOS platforms. If you want to use CapCut on a Macbook, you would typically need to use an Android emulator like Bluestacks or a virtual machine running Android to install and use the mobile version of CapCut also check CapCut Downloader to download templates on Mac Book.

Keep in mind that software availability and compatibility may have changed since then, so I recommend checking the Mac App Store or CapCut’s official website for any updates on a Mac-specific version.

Congrats on your new MacBook! I’ve been using a MacBook for a while and have explored a bunch of video editing apps, including iMovie and even tried finding ways to use Capcut. However, I eventually leaned towards Movavi for my editing needs. It’s super user-friendly and has been awesome for creating content. Plus, it’s great for quick edits and has a bunch of features that are easy to navigate.

What really sold me on Movavi was not just its editing capabilities but also its handy online image converter. I often need to switch between video and image formats for my projects, and having a tool that does both well is a game changer. It’s been a great help in streamlining my workflow without jumping between different apps.
