Needs a coma, as well.

Yes, the great sucking comma vacuum is immediately apparent. Will not fix, but leave as a warning and example to future generations.

The last time those blind hogs found this particular acorn, we were cleaning up pig slop for a week. Remember the 'President of the Internet' discussion?

I've lost contact...

by TobiF In reply to I have a new friend!!

There was one address, where I used to receive at least 30 emails a day. Almost all of them from "new friends". They were offering seminars on Russian taxation, services to close companies (even if they owe money), ways to become more attractive among females, or easier contact with virtual (or sometimes even real) women.

However, something happened about one month ago. Now the count is more like one mail per day.

Should I feel more lonely?
What happened?
Do I need to complain?
Should I simply communicate more in this thread instead?

Signed: 400 Mb traffic per month less. What to do?

You people

You are all second-rate.

I am first-rate.

Today, I'll have you know, I received a real letter in the mail -- Correos Espana.

It comes with righteous letterhead announcing:

Gomez Consult Es
Calle Soriano 75, 24 2d 29601 Marbella Malaga Espana
Tel: 0034 672 847 298 Fax: 0034 **1 311 846
E-mail:gomezconsulesq@lawyer.com

It begins:

"Firstly, I must solicit your confidence in this transaction, this is by virtue of its nature as being utterly confidential and top secret. Though I know that a transaction of this magnitude will make any one apprehensive and worried, but I am assuring that all will be well at the end of the day."

Goes on about the repatriation of "Twelve Million, Nine hundred and Fifty thousand Euros".

Gives another email, gomez.esqricardo@gmail.com and another telephone, +34 672 847 298, "If you are interested,.."

How's that?

How much am I bid for the details?

Mobile numbers begin with 6.

I think ** is Madrid.

Nigeria has moved to Spain.
In the beginning, "Nigerian letters" were real life letters sent from Nigeria. Then Internet happened and it became much easier, cheaper and safer to spam email from captured computers. But Nigeria, with its (lack of) legislation remained a favorite base for these people.

It's a bit surprising that a EU-member pops up in this business. But, yes, if you were to pick one of the least organized and corrupt countries in EU, then Spain may be near the top.

And they have good wine, too.

Right

I refilled my bota bag on the road between Madrid and Barcelona a number of times with the local vintage.

But they sound like a freaked Spanish Account which is most likely controlled from Nigeria. No thanks I'll go direct to the Owner of the Controlling Account.

If they have 12 Millions...

by TobiF In reply to You people

for you, then they could easily have slipped in a 100 Euro note in the letter as a small advance payment!
And they should really have attached SASE!
