But they make the point in the video

That the amount of training they received was MORE than they would normally receive if they bought the gun in a shop or from their neighbor.

And your point 2 is the single most valid argument against expecting CCW holders to respond, yet the NRA says expanding CCW will result in the carriers being able to respond to these situations.

If you want your body to do with the gun what you need it to do, you'll need hours of training every month for as long as you expect to need the gun.

regular training is part of proper training - the problem is the current US

system doesn't seem to provide proper training at all. The police and other places where you have a gun on hand due to work needs you have to undertake regular practice / training and a review of skills and ability - well, that's the way down here.

For law enforcement. Depending on the agency, some will get more training than others.

For almost everybody else? Not so much. After all, those rounds aren't cheap, you know.

Unless you go to pull your keys out of your pocket and burn your balls. At least wear gloves or long leather sleeves so you can function in society. Or go see a doctor and have them put out.

Anyone who "absolutely must have a firearm"

by aidemzo_adanac In reply to If you absolutely must ha ...

Would be trained by and issued one by the local authority they work for. If people feel that, being in the wilderness, means you absolutely must have one, again they are wrong. Leave the wilderness and remove the need. Should you have one in such situations as being in the wilderness,?In many cases yes.

Nobody absolutely NEEDS a firearm though, they may feel insecure and want one, but it is not an absolute need. Then again, if I felt so insecure that I felt I needed one, I'd up and move.

Well when I had to carry a Pistol which was part of the job I never felt secure caring.

I always felt much more secure when I had returned the pistol to it's Gun Safe. I always figured when I was caring I had a Target Painted on me with a open invitation to anyone to help themselves.

The only times I didn't feel like that where the few times a Year that i had to go to the range and get re-certified as I didn't have any money on me and I wasn't a Big Fat Juicy Target to the closest robber.
