Install WINDOWS SBS 2003 without making it the DHCP controller

By cjg ·
I am trying to Install Windows SBS 2003 as a test system in a multi-boot system. I want to continue allowing my router to function with DHCP enabled as I will only be using SBS 2003 priodically. Is this possible and if so how do I install SBS 2003 without DHCP enabled on the SBS 2003 box.

install it but then unauthorize the scope

won't function then.

you can also disable it as a service.

but here's the thing, SBS 2003 works best using 2 NICs. One for LAN and one for WAN.

[you don't have to use 2 though]
