Installation of Google Chrome Browser Gives Error

By TRishi ·
I have tried several times to install Google Chrome browser but at the end of installation I get an error message:

Chrome.exe - Application Error
The application failed to intialize properly (0xc00000005). Click on OK to terminate the application.

After that though Chrome icon is created on desktop but whenever I launch browser I again get the same error.

Any idea what is conficting with the installation.

I even disable Symantec Anti Virus and tried to install it again but same issue.

Any comments will be appreciated.

Regards
Tariq

I can tell you what is happening though. The Application Chrome.exe can not start and is resulting in the stated error message.

What OS are you using here and if it's Windows of some sort what is the Patch Level of it?

there is a variety of so called fixes.

You can try running Google Chrome with --no-sandbox (you need to edit the properties of the shortcut you use to launch it).

Thanks Jacky for giving me the links.

I have fixed the Registry file and everything seems to be working fine.
