Internal website problems

By sam.boytor ·
We recently installed SBS 2003 R2 and had our internal website working fine but now we can't connect to it. I used to type in the IP address, the welcome page would come up, and I could click on "My Company's Internal Website" with no problems. Now when I click on "My Company's Internal Website" I get nothing or "server not found". This is happening internally on client workstations as well as the server.

Just one site?

Do you have only one web site running on the server?

From the server, have you tried browsing to or http://localhost

Have you assigned a specific IP Address in IIS, or did you leave it to (All Unassigned)?

One Site

There is only one site as far as I know.

When I try browsing or http://localhost it does the same thing (starts at welcome page and when I click on "my company's internal website" IE tells me that it can't display the web page)

In IIS I left the IP address to (All Unassigned)

go with apache

so you can get to the index/default page, but the url to "My Company's Internal Website" isn't available.

First I'd make sure I wasn't running off cache files.
Make sure IIS service is up.
Go back and comb through the IIS snap-in and make sure all your virtual directories are linked correctly.
right click stuff and hit start.

I don't know much about IIS, as you can see..
Ask me about apache =)

good luck
