If anyone can help, I'd greatly appreciate it! I have two laptops, both are networked together (used to be one desktop and one laptop). When the first computer is connected to the internet through wireless and the second one connects to the wireless, the first computer's internet service is interrupted and anything being worked on is lost. Any thoughts? Thank you.

I'm suffering from the exact same problem. Internet speeds are fast when it's just my Mac on, but when my brother turns on his PC (running XP), the internet connection for my mac just slows down dramatically to the extent that I can't even load a website.
I've had the same problem with two different routers - first was a Netgear (piece of crap), and currently using the same Linksys router as yourself - WRT54G.
Any luck solving this problem? What settings do I have to tweak?
Thereby leaving the wireless system for the XP machines.
Also, Vista runs the wireless system in a completely different way (what else could you possibly expect?) including the methodology it uses to separate the individual wireless channels.
Check what channel Vista is set to and set it to the opposite end of it's frequency range.
I hope I can really help. Sounds like you have only 2 pcs right? xp vs vista. Were you able to configure the router properly? It's like this. Check if you place the ethernet wire from the modem to the router using the ethernet port. otherwise, only one pc can get online. Why vista gets the priority? because it has a lot of new features...including the IP version 6. So try checking where you insert your wire from the modem to the router. Please post so I'll try to search for more info for you...Good luck

If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem. Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended.
