I use VirtualBox. The ONE reason it wins is I can take the container and run it on Linux, Windows and on the right Apple computer as well!

Try that on Linux with your Hyper-V image.

While VirtualBox is a cross-platform solution, Hyper-V can only be installed on Windows-based platforms. Clustering capabilities like load balancing and failover clustering are supported by Hyper-V. For businesses that already use Windows-based environments, Microsoft’s virtualization solution would be a wise choice. For instance, Hyper-V employs checkpoints to make it simple for users to store a VM’s current state. If an issue develops as a result of future changes, the VM is able to immediately return to the earlier state. To capture a VM image in its current state, VirtualBox employs the same technology, albeit under a different name called snapshots.

If you are in a Windows-only environment, Hyper-V is the only option. But if you are in a multiplatform environment, then you can take advantage of VirtualBox and run it on any operating systems of your choice.
