Is it normal that my new phone have 90% battery health?

    by ready.09whippet ·

    Hi
My 2-week old phone, never overcharged, have 90% or less battery health according to Accubattery (90%) and battery guru (88%). I’ve been very careful not to overcharge the battery (also considering it has 33w fast charge). it’s a Xiaomi mi 11i 4520 mAh. I also notice it doesn’t last nearly as much as the reviews says( 9+ hours, or anyways all day) while for me it lasts around 6 hours of use 100-0% and no more than 4 hour 80-15% which is what I normally do(not really heavy use and 60hz refresh rate) which is not “bad” but definitely not what I expected

is this normal? am I overthinking? it’s my first “flagship” phone so I do not know what to expect. are these apps not accurate?

      How can you overcharge?

I haven’t seen a phone overcharge for decades. How is this even possible today?

As to the battery reports, does the phone natively report battery life and time remaining? Any 3rd party battery app runs the risk of being incorrect.

But all this doesn’t matter. if the maker is not answering questions and you feel this is defective, return it for a model you can live with.

I don’t think it’s okay if your phone is two weeks old
