Is Ron Paul locked out?

By jdclyde ·
With all the hooting and hollering for McCain and his majority wins yesterday, where does that leave the stealth campaign of Ron Paul?

Is he still hoping to get in?

Is he dropping out?

Will he run as an independent?

Looking at some of his websites, they state "Now there are two".

Paul writes to forbes.

What I would like to know from people that are involved in this campaign (you know who you are) is what is next?

I cannot vote for McCain. Give me hope, someone.

One thing to look at

by jdclyde In reply to No

is yourself. Which party is in the churches the most these days? You got it.

Voting for or against Bush also has nothing to do with this election, or Ron Paul.

Is there anything to the idea that since the mass media is pro-democrat, they intentionally supported McCain because he will be the easiest to beat?

McCain can not and should not win this election. The grand power of bigotry will power the Obama campaign all the way to the end.

J "One thing to look at is yourself. Which party is in the churches the most these days? You got it."

Me: Yeah, I am sure ALL of the "candidates" are showing up for services all over the country, no doubt, for votes. However, you have twisted the meaning of what I was saying and you know it. The conservative right wing republican base IS mostly "Christian" (of one flavor or another) and that was the main reason GWB won BOTH elections. Ma and Pa don't like or trust the media and don't like or trust MOST politicians, but they'll listen to their Preacher every time. Gay marriage and Abortion was the reason spread by churches all over the country to vote AGAINST the Dems. who support such "evils". Deny as much as you want but you know it is true.

J "Voting for or against Bush also has nothing to do with this election, or Ron Paul."

Me: Again, I disagree. It has everything to do with why the Republicans are in the boat they are in at the moment. As well, why Ron Paul does not have a chance, he aligned himself with the party that is NOT to be trusted. "They" were fooled not once but twice by the GOP, it's "shame on me time" as far as most of "them" are concerned.

J "Is there anything to the idea that since the mass media is pro-democrat, they intentionally supported McCain because he will be the easiest to beat?"

Me: Ah, I love it! A mass media conspiracy to put McCain in as the Rep. candidate because he is the easiest to beat ? right? Got news for ya, the GOP could have brought Reagan back from the dead and still would not win this upcoming presidential election! See, "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me". As well, for someone who slams the "incompetent", "biased", "liberal", mass media so much ? you sure as **** are giving them a lot of credit as far as controlling the USA's election process. <sarcasm> Let's see ? Rupert Murdock sent out a memo today ? Oh wait, he's a republican.<sarcasm> No way in **** that assertion will hold water. Well, it might with the "second shooter", "GWB took down the Towers", "their all out to get us" crowd.

J "McCain can not and should not win this election. The grand power of bigotry will power the Obama campaign all the way to the end."

Me: First part true, second ? yes and no. It will be all of the way to the end, but I don't believe that end will have him as President. While I agree with your assertion that the Obama camp is getting a LOT of votes due to race alone (which is the WRONG way to earn or give a vote). I strongly believe that Hillary will win the Democratic nomination and the Presidential election. This is not an uneducated guess, this is an opinion formed in the trenches of this election.

Finally stood up to the left wing polices of decades? Because they were sick of it?

The liberals drove the bible thumpers to the polls. They deserve everything they got.

Another skewed view ...

Your assertion that the libs drove the ... ahem ... "People with Morals" to the polls. Therefore "we" deserve everything "we" got?!?!?

How many dead in Iraq? Well over 4,000 now. "We" deserved that? Our economy is sh!t! "We" deserved that? Our loss of respect around the world. "We" deserved that? Corporations, no-bid contracts, trillions spent, basically everything that Bush F'd up "WE" deserve? Because the libs drove "People of morals" to let someone else THINK for them!!!

Wow!

how many died under carter that wernt even in war

by DanLM In reply to Another skewed view ...

Carters military deaths were higher, and they wernt even in combat. How, he degraded the military to the point that the equipment breakdowns killed all the people.

Another skewed view as you say.

Look up the stats.

Here is the report to congress on those very statistics

Don't see it....

by dawgit In reply to how many died under carte ...

I just checked your link. (good link, thanks) But I don't see any reference to Deaths during the Carter Admin. (other than the Diaster in the Desert, from the botched Iran Rescue atempt.*) ??? -d

* I don't blamed Carter for all of that the DOD was not prepared to do that sort of mission. The blam / shame is on them as well for that. And we still have Polititions in Uniform and Careerists in the "Puzzel Palace". X-( -d

look at the statics by year

by DanLM In reply to how many died under carte ...

And then place them into perspective of when carter was in office... You will notice they started dropping off AFTER carter was out of office? Because it took that long to fix what carter caused.

Why, because we didn't have a liberal bible thumper in office that wasn't bleading the military dry for his liberal policies.

[edited to add] They break down the statistics by accidents dawgit, thats where the majority occured in carters years. Equipment failures

dawgit, I get those reports in a newsletter from Secrecy news

by DanLM In reply to how many died under carte ...

They are a bunch of scientists that want more information released... Definatly not pro bush. Good reading..

That report I posted goes to congress, which congress wont release to the public. No matter what party is in control.

If you want a link to sign up for it, let me know... There is some truely intestering reading in those reports... No matter what your political beleifs.

Yo, Dan!

by NickNielsen In reply to how many died under carte ...

Show me the numbers that back up your assertions. The link you provided does not include data from the Carter administration except Desert One: 8 people.

I'm not seeing where 8 is greater than 2,193 (from your document). Accidental deaths may have fallen after the Carter years, but also during the Carter years, the following policies were put in place in the Do
- mandatory seat belt wear in all military and civilian vehicles for active-duty personnel; and
- mandatory helmet wear for all motorcyclists, on or off military installations.

There's more at work here than you would like to admit. When there's no war, the vast majority of military deaths are accidental, and most of those are usually in personal vehicle wrecks. Reagan bought a lot of equipment, but didn't do much for military paychecks; the same applies for Bush the First. In fact, the two largest pay raises (by percentage) I remember in my active duty years were included in Carter budgets (FYs 79 and 81, I believe).
