Laptop screen display tuned 90 degrees

By dclark ·
I left the room and my child must have hit some keys on my IBM Thinkpad T43. My screen view is now turned 90 degrees. How do I get it back to normal? Has anyone ever had this happen?

Just turn it back ...

Apparently the T43 has an ATI Mobility Radeon X300 graphics unit.

Either from your system tray, or from Control Panel, get access to the ATI Graphics Control Panel.

One of the options will be for 'Rotate Display' - just turn your display back through the 90' arc that it has moved through already.

Job done. :)

Thank you so much....that worked like a charm. I accessed the graphics through the control panel and was able to rotate it back. Thanks a million...I was lost!

It is beneficial if you mark the post(s) that have helped you as 'helpful' because it makes it easier for others to find the helpful answers, if they happen to have the same problem as you.

It also gives me another Thumb.
