The Sabangan Chronicles Part II

by phillpenaflor In reply to Le Chansons de Cadet Dugu ...

We arrived at San Juan, Batangas and immediately looked for the Pamilihang Bayan. And since the majority has not eaten breakfast, we stopped by a local carinderia. Their famous ‘goto‘ doesn’t look like the normal goto mixed with rice that we are used to. Their beef goto, aside from the meat is also served with [...]

This post originally appeared on an external website

Part III: Sabangan Chronicles

by phillpenaflor In reply to Le Chansons de Cadet Dugu ...

We’re soaked into the waters until about 7 in the evening when I realized I have to prepare our supper. Our food is a quick fix, we just had ‘inihaw na tilapia’ and ‘liempo’ where the fish get really toasted but nevertheless tasted just fine. I remembered putting salt for the second time on the [...]

This post originally appeared on an external website

Finally, I hit the target

by phillpenaflor In reply to Le Chansons de Cadet Dugu ...

Backtrack: Prior to February, the AHT Goal was set at 18 minutes for new teams like us. That was before when we were still neophyte screeners of DSL trouble. Our focus then is more on making sure trouble is fixed and that it won’t occur intermittently, even if it takes an hour. Now that we [...]

This post originally appeared on an external website

System Restored

by phillpenaflor In reply to Le Chansons de Cadet Dugu ...

Thank God I have restored my blog. For the last four days, I was trying to re-align my sidebar items, delete unnecessary stuff and codes and re-post my blog archives using IE platform. And what the heck, I couldn’t make them appear the way I wanted them to look like. So I decided to install [...]

This post originally appeared on an external website

This is My Life, Rated

by phillpenaflor In reply to Le Chansons de Cadet Dugu ...

I am not sure whether to believe and take heed the analysis of this test. Anyway I know myself better than this online character/personality/life test. I’m actually looking for a sort of an icon on the page that will certify or just even affilitate this test to a credible company and I found none.

This Is [...]

This post originally appeared on an external website

On New Schedule, New QA & New Teammates

by phillpenaflor In reply to Le Chansons de Cadet Dugu ...

For placing 5th overall in Team Ranking (out of 26), we were given the chance to choose our desired schedule for the month of April. The basis for Team Ranking is the aggregate scores obtained in Metrics, QA, Attendance and other qualifying factors. I could say that we have indeed bounced back from the very [...]

This post originally appeared on an external website

Ramblings on a cold Wednesday afternoon

by phillpenaflor In reply to Le Chansons de Cadet Dugu ...

I’m here at the office now, consuming my lunch break. A 1:30 pm shift is like a dream come true for me, as I put it. No more waking up early, no more traffic caused by the rush hours and most of all, no more long queues of call.
I almost forgot to express my [...]

This post originally appeared on an external website

Some tech news?

by phillpenaflor In reply to Le Chansons de Cadet Dugu ...

WinXP on a Mac platform?
Not a point of question any more, I guess. Apple has released recently a software that will make it possible for users to run WinXP on their Apple Mac computer. This idea of Mac and WinXp on a single computer is definitely Apple’s way of enticing users to switch from PC [...]

This post originally appeared on an external website
