login scripts in NT 4.0

By tlotta ·
hello there
I have just installed NT 4.0 server (service pack 5) on the network. Since I am migrating from Novell 3.12; the users want say drive g: mapped to their personal excel directory etc. I have used the net use commands; however, it seems when a user on windows 95 client logs on ; the %USERNAME% command ( to specify the user name) does not work and the drive is not mapped .

Is there any way work around this? Please advise

the proper answer is the one with user manager , conect to , net use home . I have been using it for over two years.
You can also change all the users at once by selecting more than one user in the user manager ( with control or shift and a mouse click) and then from the file menu -> properties change their settings and mark connect to \\servername\%username%$ then the %username% will work.
