MCSE Boot Camp - Suggestions

By HeavyWater ·
I have 5 grand that my company is giving me for certification. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on a boot camp that has a high pass/guarantee rate. I found a couple and so far, only came across one that comes in at 5 to include room/transportation to the site. www.traininghott.com but as far as their policy on a failed exam is kinda sketchy although supposedly, they have a 94% pass rate. I was looking for someplace that possibly has actually certed from that can recommend thier training/staff...Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Regards,

by james In reply to MCSE Boot Camp - Suggesti ...

I work for a company called In learning. One of the TAFES we supply our online courses too had 59 out of 60 students pass their MCSE exams on their first attempt. The last student passed 2 weeks later! Learnkeys CD ROM Training course is a full multimedia experience with streaming video and sound which is engaging and provides a complete training program with mentored 24/7 e support, manuals, and master exam that provides every possible combination of questions to fully prepare you for the real thing....all for about the $6000 mark, and license is available to train others in your organisation!
email me at james@inlearning.com.au for more info.

Guarentee??

by timwalsh In reply to MCSE Boot Camp - Suggesti ...

Guarentee to get your certification or your money back is the only "real" guarentee. Any thing else is just marketing. The only guarentees that I have seen offered are "Guarenteed to pass (or you can take our course again) (and in small print - ifspace allows)."

There is no way that any educational institution can "guarentee" you will pass any course because there are so many variable (mainly student-related - your ability to stay awake, your ability to understand the instructor, your ability to absorb the material, your technical ability, your ability to interact with ither students, your ability to not fold under the pressure of seven hard exams.

Let's say you don't pass all of your exams (or any of them for whatever reason). Because of their "guarentee", they give you the opportunity to take the course again. But (so sorry), the next class doesn't start for a month and a half. Can you get away at that time? Will your Boss give you 2 more weeks (with no "guarentee" you will pass the 2nd time)?

Instead of using a "guarentee" or even a pass rate as a descriminator, I would stick with price, location, and quality of instructors.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not against Boot Camps. That's how I got my MCSE. There just aren't any real "guarentees."

Waste Of Money

by Fvazquez In reply to Continued

Look I passed the MCSE test using two methods first one I used the CBT Nuggets MCSE 2000 series and the other was I build a little network at home using win2k servers and all of the products they have. The videos will give you the knowledge (BTW: I think CBT is one of the best courses out there) and the network at home is going to give you the little hands on experience. But the key of everything is Compromise and Dedication .Now I just got my Linux+ videos form CBT and next week I will receivethe CCNA cert videos form they also I got a Cisco router that I will use for the CCNA cert you can find it cheap on e-bay.

P Is very sad that after all the time I spend learning and studying I don?t have a Job. Also sorry for my poor written English it?s because I am prom Puerto Rico

Visit www.protechgroup.com for their pass rates. These training courses aren't boot camps, but it will give you the hands on training and a exam pass guarantee. Boot camps cram the information and self study allows you to study at your own pace.
