Microsoft Virtual Server allow us to run multiple virtual Exchange 2007

By stuart_dougla6 ·
Will Microsoft Virtual Server allow me to run multiple virtual Exchange 2007 instances on a 32 bit Server with 64 bit extensions? If not should I get a 1U 64bit Server to do exchange 2007 properly? And what spec is needed to run 3 to 5 instances of Exchange 2007?

ONly one Exchange 2007 on Virtual Servers

by douglasr In reply to Microsoft Virtual Server ...

Since Exchange 2007 requires 64-bit server, only the virtual server host will be able to run it. This makes virtual machines running Exchange in production not a reachable goal. However there's nothing in the book about virtually testing multiple Exchange Servers using virtual machines to host them - just use the 32-bit Evaluation copy of Exchange 2007 on as many as you want. You'll soon find out what the specs need to be!
