Nic card problem

Hi...guys my computer is up and running and when I view my network places I cant see ma computer connected or present on the LAN but interestingly it is present on under the device manager(hardware list).do I need to repair the windows or what ..pls advise

delete it from device manager

go to the device manager and remove it from the list by right clicking on it and uninstall then reboot windows will find it on reboot and reinstall it hopefully correcting anything that may be corupted. there is a possibility that it wont load the drivers so be sure that you know what card you are using incase you need to go to the website to get the drivers. hope that helps

I tried as u said deleted the surecom Ethernet adapter from the device manager on my computer,which i did and upon reboot it found a new hardware wit Hardware Insert Wizard and tried to install, but in the process it gave me an error message "the software you tryin to install for this hardware this hardware has not pass windows logo testing to verify its compatibility"
what next........
