By star33killer ·
I reformatted my hard drive. Loaded Win ME but no cdroms were showing. Went out and bought new hard drive. Same thing. It recognizes the roms but thats it. Is it ME or me? Help, Trish

First be sure that you have set the jumpers correctly on your drives. For master, slave or
cable select and also be sure that they are connected correctly. Because you formated your hard drive you will have to install the correct chipset drivers for your mainboard. If you have a driver disk ( usually you get one with a pc ). The chipset drivers should be on it. Or if you have a " name brand " pc you can usually get them using your serial number at the pc makers website. If you have a home built pc then you will need to get the chipset drivers from the mainboard makers website. Usually the windows 98 drivers will work for windows ME. Hope this helps. Alot of people don't like windows ME, But I thought it worked ok and was alot faster then 98. Hope you like it!
Regards, Gil
