Non working floppy drive

By miklv ·
I decided to post a question after reading the article on non working floppy drives. Mine hasn't worked for some time and I can't figure out why. On boot up the drive lights up, but from then on it's as if it's not there. When I click on My Computer3? Floppy (A:) shows along with the other drives, but when I try to access it nothing happens. When I click on this to access it nothing happens other than the computer freezing for a couple minutes, then telling me A is not accessible & the device is not ready. I'm looking for suggestions.

If your system is freezing that's software problem.you may need the first recover your system first. To see if the problem was mainly O.S problem. If recovery your system dont solve the problem then pls try use another floopy,to check if the FDD was faulty.if not replace the FDD
