Nvidia nforce networking controller stopped working

By steveneala ·
I recently installed an ATI Radeon HD 3400 series video card into my hp pavilion a 6130n. When I did that my on board Ethernet card (NVIDIA nForce networking controller) stopped working. I installed a wireless network adaptor and it works fine. I removed and replaced the drivers?. No joy. In device manager it says the device is working properly. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it.

IRQ Conflict Maybe

by willcomp In reply to Nvidia nforce networking ...

Open Device Manager, click on View, select Resources by Connection, and expand Interrupt Request (IRQ). Verify that NIC is not sharing an IRQ with another device. XP and Vista have the capability for interrupt sharing which works with some devices but not NICs which require exclusive access to an IRQ.

I went to where you said but i'm only seeing The NVIDIA networking controller on (PCI) 22
It doesnt look like its sharing with anything else. I am pretty green however so i could be wrong. Thanks for the help though I appreciate it.
