Once more with feeling Jason Hines...

By alfielee ·
Gizmodo have an article regarding netbooks:
http://www.engadget.com/2010/04/30/asus-ceo-netbooks-will-outsell-tablets-eee-pad-will-run-micro/
Yes there is the Windows on the Eee-Pad but most of the netbooks run Linux. I believe this will gradually become the norm.

Whyinell didn't you put that link in your original post?

Then we might have seen that you are not a completely delusional tosser and this thread might have gone in a quite different direction.

Such as dying at a single post.

Why???

by alfielee In reply to Once more with feeling - ...

Because if you on these discussions then you I'd expect you'd actually have an idea of what is being discussed rather than immediately assuming someone else to not know what they are talking about. You don't end up here by mistake.

Sorry for not doing so in the first place.

From your post of 05/02/2010 @ 09:43 AM:

"Jason Hines is a journo on these pages who made comment that Linux on netbooks is basically over."

Better double check yourself there, buddy boy. The article you linked to does not include the word 'Linux' anywhere in the content.

If you'd included that link in your original post, we'd know which of Jason's hundreds of web log entries you were referring to. Who knows, you might have even re-read it yourself and realized it didn't support your position.

Jason usually has several topics actively being discussed at once. You comment on one over six months old and expect people to "actually have an idea of what is being discussed"? Apparently even you don't know which of Jason's articles you're referring to. Exactly how were others supposed to know, especially when you dig up a 'zombie'?

Finally, you should have posted your comments as a reply to Jason's original article, instead of starting a new discussion. Your approach assumes the original poster will accidentally trip over your new discussion, effectively denying him or her the opportunity to respond. Starting a new thread instead of replying to an existing one is considered ill-mannered, not just here but at most web sites.

Now, go back to the card table with your cousins; the adults are talking.

It's Ron K. not RonK. See the difference?

What makes you think he'd get yours? Admitted, yours is fewer characters. Maybe he can only process names with less than six chars? An inability to get the simplest things right weakens any accuracy that may be found in his original post.

Life's rough, isn't it? How will I ever manage a stalwart, genius like you dissing me? <br>Now get busy and clean your room, especially the sheets on your bed.

Otherwise it might take Alfie yet another week before he responds. Me, I'm too old to remember a discussion that moves at snail-mail rates.
