Pinging a loopback interface on a cisco router.

By el-marty ·
I have a question. I've set up my management lan, and just now I'm setting up nagios for monitoring. Just found out that I can't ping my router. It's a n old 7206, with a loopback interface to which I telnet to make changes.
Loopback interface has this config:

interface Loopback0
ip address

The access-list in router is the following: (which is relevant)
access-list 101 permit ip 80.xx.xx.xx any (80.xx.xx.xx being my management LAN)
I use no routing protocols, only statics. Here's the one for the loopback:

ip route Loopback0

I can telnet to it fine, but not send ICMP requests. No firewall between the supervisorbox and the router, err, yes it is actually, but it's a pix, and it's set to allow all traffic from more secure interfaces to less secure interfaces., anyways, I can telnet to the 7206, but not ping. Any good ideas?
