power keep recyling.

By Vuitanh ·
One of the user installed a software and and it asked to reboot the system. After it reboots it keep recyling after the ntloader is up( to choose between regular and vga mode) then it reboots again. I took the drive and scan for virus, but it doesn't find any viruses. I tried last know good start up, it doesn't work. What is most likely the problem?

ok...

My 2 cents...
If you have an ERD... good... either way try this ...
Set your bios drive boot order to CD Rom.. whatever.
Boot the NT Workstation CD... Choose to repair when prompted.... follow the prompts... If you do recover this way..
Re-apply the service pack you are using...
(If the CD or MB don't support booting from CD... use the 3 floppy boot from ****)

If this doesn't work... don't spend the time trying to repair it.... Do a fresh install
