Print Spooler crashes

By Mattius ·
This problem happens on a daily basis. In the system event viewer I get the following messages:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Service Control Manager
Event Category: None
Event I 7031
Date: 2/5/2002
Time: 9:35:38 AM
User: N/A
Computer: SULLEY
Description:
The Print Spooler service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 21 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 60000 milliseconds: Restart the service.

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Server
Event Category: None
Event I 2510
Date: 2/5/2002
Time: 9:35:49 AM
User: N/A
Computer: SULLEY
Description:
The server service was unable to map error code 1727.

This server is a secondary DNS and DC. HP webjetadmin and powerchute (for UPS) are installed.

This computer handles the printing for 30 printers and approximately 150 users and we want to add more. The computer is compaq proliant 530ML, dual 1GHz and lots of disk space. It also has a tape library for backup and arcserve 2000.The printers are HP and Aficio(also copiers).

Articles I found in the knowledge base say that installing SP2 will fix the problem, it didn't. I have the print spooler set to automatically restart after failure, but as you can see it fails quiteoften and is a problem.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.
