Problem Saving macros

By bigLramin ·
I am a neiwbie at this. 

I created an AutoCorrect Macro, which allows me to type an abbreviated letter and it would write the full word for me. Using MS Word 2002. The Original file is about 1,200 KB. I usually insert about 9 to 10 new words a day. But recently when I try to backup and save the changes it only saves about 543 KB. The rest of the file is cute off

1. Is there a limit on how many changes I could make, and how do I get around it?

2. How could I use the Same Macros in Excel?

Any help would greatly be appreciated, and Thank you all in Advance.

I have written some really long macros and had no issues.

For grins, cut the code and past it into a module on a clean XLS file and see what happens.

If it works, delete the original storage location (XLS or personal macro storage thingy) and then create a new macro and past your code back into it.
