I take it that you somehow want to map a drive on another computer over the Internet is that correct?

If it is you can use a VPN to accomplish this task by creating a direct connection to the other computer and making it a 2 way street then Mapping the HDD to your Local Computer.

There may be time lags depending on just how fast your Internet Connection is and that of the other computer applies here as well. Also if you are attempting to Map a Drive on a Company Domain you'll have to speak to the Companies System Admin to setup the VPN and run all the same security tools that the company runs as by doing this you are risking infection to the remote computer and possible illegal entry by other parties if your computer isn't locked down and cleaned regularly. When I setup owners home computers to access company assets they all have company supplied hardware & Corporate level software as it proves a better option to keep the systems clean than some over the counter domestic AV & Malware programs could ever hope to achieve.
