Retransmit my wirelessPCI internet thru onboardLAN via 54g router?

By techieboi ·
hey folks - i have a Linksys wireless G PCI card which i am picking up a '54 - very good' signal from a neighbor & after discussing the potential for rebroadcasting with her, i found myself in the possession of a Belkin Wireless G Router, with which i am hoping to retransmit to a 'dead' spot toward the rear of my backyard polebuilding. is it possible to somehow configure the LAN (onboard an Intel D865PERL motherboard) to operate in harmony with the PCI card, but rather utilize the 10/100 to somehow play the role of the modem & retransmit the wireless signal i receive at the front/side section of my dwelling? i have fidgeted around with this wire & that wire & settings regarding establishing a small business/home network, but am seemingly stumped by the non-activity of either one of the two elements at the same time. i AM able to receive an '18mbps - low' signal out in the polebarn, but this is only once my internet connectivity has gone to crap & the PCI card somehow jumps priority giving me a great throughput, just containing no data in the 'transmitted' packets... essentially, what i am asking is: can the LAN (10/100) be enabled to broadcast in a modem's stead? thanks for any input/feedback - i certainly appreciate it. love the forums, btw - very neat & well thought out. peace :)
