of the driver disk (floppy drive fd0 or hdd sda)

It needs some drivers that it doesn't have access to on the cdrom.

What driver is it looking for?

You evidently need to supply a driver for some component in your system (e.g. the hard disk, graphics card, network adapter, whatever). You need to determine which driver is required, burn it onto a CD (or put it on a floppy diskette) and then press F2 at the RHEL 5 installation prompt (or type "linux dd" at the boot prompt to get it to allow you to provide the drivers.)

Alternatively, you might try Fedora 7. This is similar to RHEL 5, and includes more drivers. (It is not considered as 'stable' or 'long term' as RHEL 5 is, though, and its life-cycle is about 6 months, while support for RHEL5 will be provided for about 7 years.
