SCSI and SAS connectors

By Slvrknght ·
Ok, I have a Dell PowerEdge server upgrade card that uses an SAS 5/E connector. I also have an HP LTO Ultrium-4 that uses SCSI U320 cables. I need an adapter of some kind, preferably a cable of some sort.

Unfortunately, I do not have sufficient knowledge of the precise connector names in order to facilitate a search for one myself. I would also accept answers that would help me search for an adapter this way as well.

Thanks in advance. :)

What exactly is it that you want to do here?

I get the idea that you want to adapt one Lead to plug into a Drive but which type of Lead and which type of Drive do you want to attach to.

Most times there is a small Circuit Board made that connects directly to the HDD and you then plug in the Data & Power Leads to that. The Circuit Board naturally has both sockets on it to connect and whatever required circuity to allow the adapter to work.

If you get the Interface for the wrong drive it will not work here.
