Serial Mouse problem

By dholt91477 ·
Hello...i have an old 486 machine, running win 95 plus,w/48megs memory. My problem is Windows doesnt see the serial mouse when booting.I have tried 3 different serial mouse's to no avail.I even installed a new cable from the m/b out. This PC has an FIC m/b.
So....is there some way to change( from the m/b)to standard PS2 type...or do i need to look elsewheres for the solution. Thank You.

I agree with a previous answer that said to make sure you comm port is turend on in the CMOS.
Usually COMM 1 Set to 3F8 IRQ4 work.
