Shoe thrower gets the book thrown at him

Everyone remembers the little man that threw one shoe, and then the other, as security did nothing. The first to confront the thrower as actually another journalist.

3 years in jail for his crime, and it is the minimum for such a crime. He could have gotten 15 years for his assault. His legal team is planning on appealing.

I hope for his wasting of the courts time, they bump it up to the 15.

That was another mistake he made.

If you're going to insult someone, make sure they understand they're being insulted. I'm sure it went right over Bush's head, so to speak...

Not to mention...

...the guy most likely will not do prison time in the context that most people think.

He'll probably be THE MAN inside of the prison. The only way he'd go in with more 'cred' is if he would have seriously wounded Bush.

It will probably be like Goodfellas, where this dude is practically living in a penthouse by sake of comparison to the rest of the prisoners.

Oh, and lets not forget the copious amounts of $$$ that the impending book (there's always a book) will make for this doof.

3 years (not considering time served and early release for good behavior) and getting released to a hero's welcome with cash to boot??? I've had jobs worse than that!!

The Iraqi police already broke his arm. Why jail?

by DelbertPGH In reply to Shoe thrower gets the boo ...

He didn't take a shot at GWB. He's certainly endured enough punishment. I guess the Iraqi cops decided that since they smart enough to stop him after the first shoe, they're going to pound crap out him for showing them to be twice as stupid.

I think ex-President Bush should enter a plea for clemency. He was relaxed enough to joke about it when it happened.

Shoes. Geez. Everybody needs some perspective.
