    So whats the gossip???!!

    Hey people..

    What did I miss??
    Anything exciting going on???

    Well, the offspring has gone back to canada, so I’ve turned back into the sad “insane cat lady” and have gone back to talking to the cat. 🙁

    Spent another week in Spain..in need of serious de-tox now..

    First day back at work..happy joy..I’m definatly just gonna win the lotto this week and jack it all in.

    So come one..fill me in on whats been going on!!

      The one where Q questioned the practice of bumping off topic posts so they’d stay visible? Turns out the posts in questions were three in support of TiggerTwo’s breast cancer walk. Q wasn’t questioning Tigger’s activity or the show of support, just the bumping of off-topic posts in general. It turned into a brutally ugly flame-fest. Tammy and Sonja asked everyone to calm down, as did Tigger, but eventually the PTBs decided it had to be removed entirely.

      You know it’s not good when santeewelding is using “STFU”, and that was one of the nicer comments.

      sleeping dawg started a follow-up thread about TR censorship that quickly deteriorated into the same name calling, a bit more restrained but just as unpleasant. Tigger also started one about TR’s terms of service. I believe both of those are still on line.

      Seems it is fine to say STFU as long as you don’t mean it, and WTF is questionable depending on if you have more emphasis on the W or the F…. ;\

      The dipwad “Q” came out again, this time ranting about how it upsets s/h/it so when people “bump” the Tig discussions. s/h/it then started posting pics to use to cut people down (downs syndrome kid) and so we looked at the rest of the photo album and found pics of his 14 year old girl friend. All pretty funny stuff until Tammy got sick of all of us and pulled the whole discussion instead of just a few posts here and there.

      Did my first round of golf for the year, and didn’t do as bad as I had expected. 52 ( 9 holes) considering I was both sober and hadn’t played in almost a full year. B-)

      School starts today for the things. They were in good spirits about it. (get to see all their little friends).

      I’ve been pretty much out as well. We moved into a new house and my life has turned into painting and unpacking boxes. Hanging pictures, taking them down..re-hanging them.

      I had the last 10 days off from work and am back today. I don’t want to be here, but it’s good that I’m getting some rest. 🙂

      I had to come back. I spent all my money. Dammit. And of course, the car breaks down again. On a holiday weekend, so there was no where to get it fixed. I think it just waits until I have no money, then it goes klabooey.

      Ohh..and I did see the whole Q thread. I still find it disturbing that STFU and WTF are in question. Since when did anyone here practice good taste?? If I wanted good taste, I’d hang out with a civilized crowd.

          This year, I took my cell, but left it off, and didn’t think about work at all. Was no where near a computer or television for over a week. I bought a newspaper every couple of days when I went for supplies. I heard the radio in the car, but tried to listen to music not news.

          I wish I was still there. I really do.

          I don’t even feel like a rant…yet.

          but instead I spent the last couple of days packing a truck up to help my brother move (well 2 trucks, a trailor, and a car).

          Good thing I didnt need to drive one of ’em for hours and hours (whew, got away from it).

          Looks like a nice place to go visit!

          Is a national treasure.

          Do a google on Tom Thompson and Group of Seven Canadian Art and you will get a good feel for the place, better than my pics.

          Algonquin is 3000 square miles, and has near mountains, lakes, bogs, hardwood forests, spruce and pine forests, canyons and lots in between.

          The overnight was just a warmup, teaching my son the basics, before we try a longer trip with portages and all.

          There is always lots going on at Algonquin, they produce a weekly newletter and a weekly list of events, including guided hikes, seminars etc.

          I’d like to explore some of the remote areas.

      I’d only consider you an “insane cat lady” if you had a dozen cats and talked to them all. 😀 I picture myself being that way when I’m old and gray and no kids around.
