STOP 0x00000050 (PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA)

By roy.soumya123 ·
Hi,

Recently, I installed a dialer software for USB modem for net surfing. I used the net and after PC restart I am getting blue screen with this error "STOP 0x00000050 (PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA)". I uninstalled the software, but in vain. Then I did system restore to earlier point. It worked for 2 days, but now again I am getting the error.
Pls help.

thanks.
Roy

by roy.soumya123 In reply to Try this

Thanks a lot Jacky.

BTW, what is this fldevice.sys ?

Safe Mode

by Jacky Howe In reply to In which mode?

should do it for you.

It is probably part of the Modem that you installed I can't find a definative reference to it. You couls also try renaming it to .old. Restart and see if you are still havib=ng the problem. I would still check the hidded devies though.

C:\Windows\System\fldevice.sys

C:\Windows\System\fldevice.sys.old

Removing hidden drivers did not help

by roy.soumya123 In reply to Safe Mode

Hi Jacky,

From safe mode I removed all the hidden devices except 4 components mentioned below. But it did not help.
Yes..it is true that I could not uninstall 4 components out of all components --
1. One lan driver. It says that I can't install it. It is required for re-booting.
2. Another lan driver and says same thing while uninstalling.
3. Bluetooth stereo - system hangs.
4. Bluetooth hands free - system hangs.

Let me check with renaming the file.

Thanks.
