Smooshing the stack for fun and finances

Ok, stupid title. But --- I'm sick again. I have some sort of flu bug and my son has a stomach flu. So my most awesome and caring wife is taking care of "her two boys" today. That's saying alot especially since she's taking the day off from work and doesn't have the time to be taking off.

I'm ready for the warmer weather and the end to flu season!

C'mon white blood cells, do your thing!

This post originally appeared on an external website

by crivers In reply to t3h bl0g

Now this is what I am talking about. Sun, sand, and nice clear blue water. Of course there's plenty of sun block that would have to be applied to my overly sensitive skin, but hey, at least it's warmer. This is a picture from last summer during our trip to the northern part of Indiana (Dunes region). This was the view from the top of the tallest dune in the area. If you look hard enough you can see Chicago on the horizon. This spot is probably covered in a foot of snow right now.
<a href='img">http://photos1.blogger.com/img/173/3845/640/dunes2004-76.jpg'><img border='0' class='phostImg' src='/a>
<div">http://photos1.blogger.com/img/173/3845/320/dunes2004-761.jpg'>

This post originally appeared on an external website

You don't want this

Why can't the flu season just call it quits for the year and let my family be? After getting some form of a head cold, I ended up getting -- gastroenteritis. Whee.

http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dvrd/revb/gastro/faq.htm

Not the most recommended way to lose weight, but it works. The Great (Wasted) American Past-Time

by crivers In reply to t3h bl0g

Yeah, it's all over the news. Baseball. It used to be a sport, now it's just a game to see who can cheat better.

To the baseball thugs out there who may read this, thanks for killing my beloved pasttime. It's the same whiner spirit of those people who want to cry about not earning more than a $million a year (yes, I know you only keep half of that -- you poor babies) that are making headlines today. More money requires more hits, more runs, more home runs, more of everything. When can we get back to baseball (not basebull as I have called it in the past) that young children can respect (and find heroes in -- Thank you Ryne Sandberg, John Smoltz, Cal Ripken, Andre Dawson, Shawon Dunston, et al.).

Americans like me would also like for politicians to stay out of it. There's plenty of work to be done elsewhere -- let the fans make the judgement call with their presence in the seats next season. (or lack thereof)

I haven't looked at or collected baseball cards for years now. There's just nothing left in the game after the strikes and now this.

Let me know when they get back to playing ball respectfully. To those of you out there that have done your best without the 'roids -- thank you.

This post originally appeared on an external website
