The Twink excuse

by behrens74 In reply to The Twink excuse

yeah, the guy that says they make 5 twink casters and take the twink rogues/warriors out of the equation is on crack.

1. you can not get the first aid skill high enough to make runecloth bandages until level 35

2. there is no way that any caster has 1600-1700 hp at lvl 19 (no matter what buffs you use)

The Twink excuse

You can't make runecloth bandies but you can use them. And I have seen a priest with 1500hps in WSG 19. I have a almost twink rogue "Tinytyke" I still lack some key enchants ie +100 to head and legs etc. I have decide that I'm going to take my rogue up to the 20-29 bracket and am now working on a hunter. I think the hunter can rule wsg 10-19 and 20-29. The next thing ppl don't understand is just because there's a twink in the group doesn't automatic win. A well organized (TS or Vent) non twink group can beat a group with 4 or 5 twinks on it. I have learned that teamwork is the best way to beat me.

Warsong Gulch delays the Battle of Hillsbrad

by Technologia In reply to The Chronicles of Technol ...

Elkwinkarma -- Undead Warlock, Guild Leader, Technologia

Report --- Warsong Gulch delays
the Battle of Hillsbrad

While
wandering the streets of Orgrimmar recently I came across a very large and
surly Orc. I could tell by his battle scars and his
demeanor that he wasn't going to let me pass by without conversation. He even
went so far as to grab me by the collar --- something only a battle-tested Orc of supreme confidence and skill would attempt against
an Undead Warlock. But his action served its purpose --- he had my undivided
attention.

He told me
about a minor skirmish taking place in the Warsong
Gulch, a patch of land lying between the Horde-controlled area of the Barrens
and the Alliance-controlled area known as Ashenvale.
Both sides were fighting for control of this region and the significant amount
of resources it contains. As the local military recruiter, he suggested I take
a few days to help with the Horde cause. I tried to tell him that I had made a
commitment to fight in the Battle of Hillsbrad, but he said that could wait and
the next thing I know I was transported to a staging area where I was told to
prepare for battle.

I quickly
summoned an Imp, whose demonic powers would give me the stamina to sustain
myself during a pitched battle. Besides, the Imp can deal damage with his
penchant for throwing fireballs. Despite his incessant complaining, the Imp is
often the best choice for these guerrilla-style battles.

After about
a minute the charge was sounded and I was immediately thrown into battle. Both
sides charged the other with almost reckless abandon. I was quickly identified
by the opposition as I was the only Warlock on the battlefield. I quickly cast
Affliction spells on two hunters, a mage and a warrior. With the help of my
comrades, that initial wave was dispatched with ease. But that was only the
beginning.

The next
set of combatants were supported by a duo of priests, which meant that his
bunch was going to be much more formidable. I decided to take the initiative to
the enemy by breaking through the lines to reach striking distance with the
priests. I set my imp to attack one, while I concentrated on the other. The
constant barrage kept the priests off balance, reducing their ability to heal their
party members. This gave us the edge we needed to defeat this wave and win the
battle. In the process I was severely injured and had to be restored to
fighting strength by the Resurrection Spirit.

With
victory achieved I was given permission to join my normal duties in Hillsbrad.
I have been promised a promotion and a military rank, but, typical of the armed
forces, I am still waiting for paperwork to make it through the bureaucracy.

Razorfen Kraul

by Technologia In reply to The Chronicles of Technol ...

Elkwinkarma -- Undead Warlock, Guild Leader, Technologia

Report --- Razorfen Kraul

This past week I was summoned to Ratchet by Warlock Master
XXX for training. Apparently, I have progressed enough as a Warlock to be
accepted as his student. It is going to be a difficult course of training but I
am ready and willing. XXX gave me my first quest under his guidance. It is one
that will take me to the far reaches of both continents of Azeroth.

I enjoy Ratchet immensely, it is a quiet port compared to Booty Bay,
but under the quiet surface there is much intrigue. Whenever I visit there I
pick up a lucrative quest to earn some gold to put toward my Warlock training.
On this occasion, I was recruited by fellow guild member Bonky (Warrior) for an
excursion to Razorfen Kraul. Also coming along were Keres (Rogue) and Myrlin
(Shaman). A fine group for what we were tasked with ? annihilation of all
inhabitants of that cave.

Razorfen Kraul is (was) inhabited by the strange and violent
creatures known as Quillboar --- they can best be described as sort of
pig/dwarf. Quillboar are classified as humanoid only because they walk on two
legs. The squeal wonderfully as they die and they thud of their snouts landing
in the mud of that awful cave as they squealed their last squeal filled me with
glee.

Our party moved through the Quillboar with great ease until
we came upon the Hero Quillboar and his three minions, who forced us to retreat
and regroup. During the first attack we were able to take out his minions and
weaken this great beast considerably. Although he fought hard, he was no match
for us in the end.

We continued through the winding caverns until we came upon Angathelos
the Raging --- the biggest swine I have ever or likely will ever see. After
dispatching this huge boar I thought about bacon and my fond memories for its
smoky goodness, but alas we had no time for that.

The next area was the domain of Chalga Razorflank, a shaman
of tremendous power and the main object of my quest in this place. While she
was strong and could cast a devastating area of effect damage spell, we were
able to kill her using ranged attacks and tactical melee between her casts. I
found a tattered scroll on her that indicated she had convinced the Quillboar
to form an alliance with forces of The Plague.

After traveling several days, I presented the scroll to Varimathras
in the Under City. He was pleased with my handy work but quite disturbed by the
scroll?s meaning. He gave me a new assignment: he wants me to bring him the
head of Ambassador Malcin, who has obviously failed to negotiate an alliance
with the Quillboar in the name of the Horde. It will be my pleasure, Varimathras
and I agree that failure in the service of the Horde and the Undead is not
acceptable. Life is hard, undead is harder.

As Homer would say "ummm bacon." Sorry I missed that raid. It sounds like it was fun. I also enjoy the squeal of dead pigmen and the thud of their snouts hitting the dirt.

Does anyone else need to go back to Kraul and kill Ambassador Malcin? It will take a group I think. I tried to solo but gave up after the first mortality.

For the HORDE!

Guild Tabard - Attempt 1

by Technologia In reply to The Chronicles of Technol ...

Here is my first attempt at a Technologia Tabard - think Frankenstein's Laboratory where electricity arcs between two poles in this shape. I know it has a name but I can't think of it right now. Please, if someone else has a better idea --- share it.

rd 1

Jacob's Ladder - that's it.

Colors? - I don't have a preference. MIT's colors are red and gray - kinda boring. Caltech is black and gold.

Make a suggestion.
